Why Aftercare Matters
The difference between extensions that last a few months and ones that stay soft, full, and beautiful long-term comes down to how they’re cared for.
Extensions don’t receive natural oils from your scalp and need extra hydration
Extensions can feel dry if not properly hydrated
Proper products & care protect your investment
You protect both the lifespan and the look of your extensions with the right products
Consistency is key to long-lasting results
A simple routine will keep your extensions looking and feeling their best.
Your Daily Extension Routine
Extensions rely entirely on you for moisture—without it, even the highest quality hair will begin to feel dry, rough, and damaged over time.
USE A CONDITIONING MIST DAILY
Apply a conditioning mist morning and night, and gently brush through the ends of your extensions
WASH LESS, HYDRATE MORE
Shampoo and condition your hair 1-2 times per wek using a moisture-focused formula to avoid stripping the hair and causing dryness
DON’T CONFUSE OIL WITH MOISTURE
Oil is not moisture-it only seals in what’s already in the hair. If your extensions are dry, oil will only block moisture from getting in.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
The difference between extensions that last a few months and ones that stay soft, full, and beautiful long-term comes down to how they’re cared for.
Using protein or hair repair products
Adding to much protein can cause the hair to become brittle and break off. instead focus on moisture products
Using Oil- based products for moisture
Oil is not moisture, it just seals on top of the hair. Use a moisture product first, then a lightweight oil after if needed
Using the wrong brush
Brushes with the balls on the end (like a Wet brush) can catch on your sections and cause pulling. Use a soft bristle bush instead.
Sleeping with wet hair
Wet hair is more fragile. It can cause the extension to break and your naural hair to mat and tangle.
