At Hair Flair, we stand behind the quality of our hair and are committed to providing exceptional products and customer service. Because hair extensions are considered a hygienic product, we have specific policies in place to protect both our customers and our business. Please review this policy carefully before placing your order.

Our Commitment to Quality

Hair Flair has proudly been a trusted professional hair extension supplier for over 12 years.

Every batch of hair undergoes an extensive quality control process before being approved for sale, resulting in an extremely low manufacturing defect rate.

Because hair extensions are made from real human hair, they require proper installation, maintenance, and aftercare. Much like natural hair, extensions can experience color fading, dryness, breakage, tangling, or matting when exposed to heat styling, hard water, sunscreen, product buildup, chemical processing, improper brushing, or incorrect maintenance.

Many concerns commonly believed to be “quality issues” are often related to aftercare, maintenance routines, environmental exposure, or improper installation techniques rather than manufacturing defects.

For the best results, longevity, and warranty protection, Hair Flair strongly recommends having extensions installed and maintained by a Certified Hair Flair Professional.

Returns & Exchanges

Due to hygiene standards, all returns and exchanges must meet strict eligibility requirements.

To qualify for a return or exchange:

  • Hair must be completely unused, unopened, and uninstalled.
  • Hair must remain in the original packaging.
  • Original zip ties and security ties must remain fully intact.
  • Hair must not be removed from the packaging.
  • Hair must not be brushed, washed, toned, colored, cut, chemically processed, or altered in any way.
  • Hair must be free of odors, smoke, makeup, product residue, or damage.

Any hair that has been opened, removed from the zip ties, altered, or installed is considered accepted and is no longer eligible for return under our standard return policy.

We strongly recommend thoroughly inspecting all hair prior to installation.

Refunds vs Store Credit

Full Refunds

Eligible unopened and unused hair may be returned within 15 days of the delivery date for a refund to the original payment method.

Approved refunds:

  • Exclude original shipping charges.
  • Are subject to non-refundable payment processing fees and Route shipping insurance fees.
  • Are issued once the return has been received and inspected.

Please allow 5–7 business days for processing once the return has been received.

Store Credit Returns

Returns requested after the 15-day refund window may qualify for store credit only, subject to inspection and approval.

Approved store credits:

  • Do not expire.
  • Are non-transferable.
  • Cannot be redeemed for cash.

Store credit eligibility is determined after the returned hair has been inspected and approved by our team.

Color Exchanges

We understand that selecting the perfect color online can sometimes be difficult.

Eligible unopened and unused hair may be exchanged for another color within the applicable return period, provided:

  • The hair remains unopened and unused.
  • Original zip ties and packaging remain fully intact.
  • The product has not been altered, installed, brushed, washed, toned, or chemically processed.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs associated with color exchanges.

Once the returned hair has been received and approved, Hair Flair will issue store credit for the returned product amount.

Customers may then log into their online store account and place a new order using their available store credit at checkout.

Store credit can be applied by selecting the “Use My Store Credit” option during checkout.

For assistance with color matching prior to ordering, we recommend contacting our team before purchasing.

Order Cancellations

We understand that mistakes can happen and may accommodate order cancellations prior to shipment.

Orders cancelled before shipment will be refunded to the original payment method, less any non-refundable payment processing fees associated with the transaction.

This applies to all online payment methods, including credit cards, PayPal, financing providers, and installment payment services.

Because payment processors retain their transaction fees even when orders are cancelled, these charges are non-refundable.

Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled and must follow our Returns & Exchanges Policy.

Hair Flair reserves the right to cancel any order at our discretion.

Quality Guarantee

Hair Flair proudly stands behind the quality of our hair extensions.

  • Retail customers receive a 30-day quality guarantee from the delivery date.
  • Certified Hair Flair students receive a 60-day quality guarantee from the delivery date.

The quality guarantee covers confirmed manufacturing defects or abnormal performance of the hair under proper care conditions.

Examples may include:

  • Excessive tangling or matting.
  • Excessive shedding.
  • Structural defects.
  • Abnormal breakage.

The quality guarantee does not cover:

  • Improper installation.
  • Improper maintenance or home care.
  • Product buildup or residue.
  • Hard water exposure.
  • Heat damage.
  • Chemical processing.
  • Coloring or toning.
  • Sunscreen, salt water, chlorine, or environmental exposure.
  • Use of non-recommended products.
  • Color fading or changes caused by wear, washing, heat, product use, or environmental exposure.
  • Breakage caused by normal wear, excessive tension, improper brushing, heat styling, or lack of maintenance.
  • Normal wear and tear.
Quality Claim Requirements

To initiate a quality claim, the hair must first be returned to Hair Flair for physical inspection.

Hair Flair does not provide advance replacements, refunds, store credit, or warranty approvals prior to receiving and inspecting the hair in question.

All submitted hair will undergo a mandatory quality inspection process of up to 7 business days from the date the hair is received by our team.

During the inspection process, Hair Flair may:

  • Examine the hair and bonds for signs of improper installation, excessive tension, cutting, pulling, or misuse.
  • Assess the condition of the hair for signs of heat damage, chemical processing, environmental exposure, or improper maintenance.
  • Wash and condition the hair using professional products.
  • Use clarifying treatments to remove buildup, residue, minerals, oils, or product accumulation when necessary.
  • Test the performance and integrity of the hair after cleansing and conditioning.
  • Evaluate whether the concern is related to a manufacturing defect or external factors.

Hair extensions experiencing buildup, improper care, hard water exposure, product residue, excessive heat, sunscreen exposure, chemical alteration, or improper maintenance may temporarily mimic quality issues such as tangling, dryness, matting, or shedding.

If the hair performs normally after the inspection and restoration process, the claim may be denied.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Removal of the hair prior to submitting a claim.
  • Shipping the hair back to Hair Flair for inspection.
  • Any reinstall costs associated with replacement hair.

To ensure a fair and accurate evaluation:

  • All quality claims must be submitted within the applicable guarantee period.
  • The original hair must be returned in full.
  • Hair Flair reserves the right to deny incomplete claims or claims where the hair is not returned for inspection.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed within the applicable guarantee period, Hair Flair will provide a replacement of the same product originally purchased.

Hair Flair reserves the right to determine the outcome of all quality claims following inspection.

Prorated Quality Credit

In some situations where a quality concern is identified outside the active quality guarantee period, Hair Flair may offer a prorated store credit based on the remaining expected lifespan of the hair.

Example: If hair is expected to last approximately 12 months and the concern occurs after 6 months of wear, a 50% store credit may be issued based on the original purchase price.

Prorated credits are assessed individually and are not guaranteed.

Incorrect or Damaged Orders

If you received an incorrect item, damaged product, or incomplete order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number.
  • Photos of the packaging and products.
  • A description of the issue.

Our team will work quickly to resolve the issue.

Final Sale Items

The following items are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, refund, or store credit:

  • Opened or installed hair.
  • Hair removed from original zip ties or packaging.
  • Custom or special-order products.
  • Sale or clearance items.
  • Brushes, tools, and accessories.
  • Training programs and digital products.
  • Gift cards.
Refused Deliveries & Unclaimed Packages

If a package is refused, unclaimed, or returned due to any of the following, original shipping charges and return shipping fees will be deducted from any approved refund or store credit:

  • Incorrect address submission.
  • Failure to collect the package.
  • Refusal to pay duties or customs fees.
