A quality heat protectant product for your hair extensions is one of the most important products to have in your styling kit. Also referred to as "sunscreen" for your hair, heat protectants prevent your hair from getting fried, replenish moisture, and prevent split ends.

When using a spray, try holding the bottle as far away as possible to get an even distribution. You don't need to apply to the roots, just the length and ends. Alternately, you could use a heat protectant cream, which can be worked through the length and ends of wet hair.
